Reporting from the CNN page, Tuesday, September 27, 2011, these problems began to surface after a consumer reported the discovery of two small pieces of metal in the box with minced pork Sysco Imperial "puree Shaped Meats Country Style Pork and Binder Product."
Manufacturers of chopped pork, K. Heeps, Inc.. said so far has not received reports of consumers who are sick or injured as a result of these metals. They believe, the metal may be derived from plant equipment fault. They also confirmed that each package of chopped pork has passed a rigorous inspection stages.
"Pork chop with problems that are produced on 16 June 2011 and was circulated in California, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Virginia for institutional purposes," said K. Heeps, Inc.. in a statement.
However, they urged other people who may have specific questions related to their products to contact the public service numbers have been provided.
